✓  The workshops will include a theoretical section, a demonstration and a hands-on practical part conducted by two Dipl. specialists (Vincent Wavreille and Deborah Rohner) in two-participant positions with cadavers.

Principal Course Master

Vincent Wavreille DVM, MS, DACVS, DECVS, ACVS 

He specializes in oncologic surgery and minimally invasive surgery. He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Liège (Belgium) in 2006. He completed a rotating internship at the University of Liège (Belgium) and a surgical internship at Fitzpatrick Referrals (United Kingdom). In 2011, he earned a university diploma in microsurgery (France).

In 2011, he moved to the United States to pursue a residency in small animal surgery, which he completed, earning board certification in surgery. In 2015, he undertook a one-year oncology surgery fellowship at the University of Florida, after which he returned to Ohio State University as an assistant professor specializing in oncologic surgery.

In October 2020, he joined the University of Zurich as a senior clinician in the Department of Surgery. He has published numerous articles on oncologic surgery in international journals and has participated as a speaker at many international conferences.

His primary areas of interest include oncologic procedures such as tumor resections leading to complex reconstructive surgeries, maxillofacial surgery, surgical management of neuroendocrine diseases (adrenal and thyroid tumors), limb-sparing procedures, and the development of new techniques and surgical approaches for cancer treatment.
